At DyeHard Customs in Meriden, CT, a full set of seats dyed any color is $1,200. Seats and door cards together are $1,900, and the full interior — dash, trim, steering wheel, center console — is $2,800. A $500 deposit holds your slot and comes straight off the price.

How much of the cabin

Seats only is the smallest job. Adding door cards, then the dash, trim, steering wheel and center console, increases the prep and dye time — that is the main price driver.

Color change vs. refresh

Going from a factory color to something exotic — lime, Tiffany blue, Hermes orange — takes full coverage coats. Refreshing the existing color is lighter work.

Condition of the leather

Worn bolsters, cracks and old repairs need extra prep before dye will take evenly. Send photos with your booking and we price it honestly before you commit.

Dye vs. reupholstery

Why dyeing costs less

Reupholstering means stripping your seats and buying new leather covers. Dyeing keeps the leather already in your car — we prep it and recolor it by hand, so you skip the cost of new material entirely and keep the factory fit.
